Nashik, On Tuesday, District administration and the Maharashtra University of Health Science (MUHS) organized an awareness rally to encourage people for organ donation.

Traversing through Nashik civil hospital, Kalidas Kalamandir, Shalimar and M G Road, rally covered a long distance from Kanhere Maidan (Golf Club Ground) and reached the Shivaji Stadium.

Medical and nursing college students came forward and participated in the rally.

School students played their part and performed a street play on 'The importance of organ donation.'

The informative banners and placards have been displayed by the students which indicates the importance of organ donation.

Dr Bhausaheb More and Dr Sanjay Rakibe, who have been constantly involved in the organ donation campaigns, were felicitated on the occasion.

MLA Seema Hire, Mayor Ashok Murtadak, Zilla Parishad president Vijayshree Chumble, vice chancellor of MUHS Dileep Mhaisekar and other dignitaries were present.
