PNB scam: DRI sent arrest warrant email to Nirav Modi

Revenue Vigilance Agency DRI has sent a warrant for the arrest of fugitive diamond trader Neerav Modi by e-mail in a case of customs theft. Officials gave this information. He said that this warrant has been issued if he is not present in the court of Surat strict action will be taken. In March, the revenue intelligence directorate (DRI) had initiated a penal action against Neerav Modi and his three companies. This action was initiated by the companies located in their special economic zone for the use of duty-free imported goods, apart from the rules elsewhere. 
 

Officials said after the hearing of the case, the court of Surat Chief Judicial Officer had issued summons against Neerav Modi. On the due date, the warrant has been issued after the presence of Neerav Modi or his representative is not present in the court. Officials said that after the warrant was issued by the court, DRI sent it through Neerav Modi to e-mail. His Mama Mehul Choksi, the promoter of Neerav Modi and Gitanjali James, is accused of fraudulent Rs 13,000 crore with Punjab National Bank. This case is being investigated for a long time and recently the mail has been sent to the diamond trader Neerav Modi.
