Police Complaint lodged Against Mamata Banerjee for Her 'Bloodbath', 'Civil War' Remarks Over NRC issue

New Delhi: Following an action to Mamata Banerjee’s remarks against the released draft of National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam issue, a police complaint has been lodged against the Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo by the BJP's youth wing in Assam's Dibrugarh district, as News 18 reported.

The complaint was registered at Naharkatia police station in Upper Assam's Dibrugarh district by three functionaries of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. The police stated that they are investigating the complaint and are yet to register an FIR in the subject.

The complaint accuses CM Banerjee of inciting hate and anxiety among the co-existing communities with the target of devastating the citizen's charter process.

Worth mention here Mamata Banerjee accused the PM Modi-led Center government of trying to make millions of people stateless in Assam for political profits and warned that stripping of their citizenship could lead to bloodbath and a civil war in the nation.

She added that the NRC is being done with a political gain adding BJP are trying to divide the people.
