NEW DELHI: Just in a while after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address concluded to a public meeting in poll-bound Karnataka during which he called Rahul Gandhi a “naamdaar” a reference to this crack was targeted on Union railway minister Piyush Goyal on Twitter while responding to an allegation by the Congress scion.

In a tweet some hours ago, Rahul had demanded the resignation to Piyush Goyal, allhim of being involved in the Rs 48 crore Flashnet scam, which he termed "deceit, conflict of interest and greed".

Gandhi also showed a picture along with his tweet, alleging that Piyush Goyal sold his stock of Flash net Info Solutions to Piramal group, which has interests in the power sector, at 1,000 times the face value.

Rahul claimed this had happened when Piyush Goyal was the minister of state for power.

Goyal countered attack through two tweets, one in which he attacked Congress leader P Chidambaram and his son Karti, and the other in which Rahul Gandhi was the intention.

The railway minister declared his professional qualifications -- a professional chartered accountant and an investment banker -- and then quoted from the PM’s speech in Karnataka, tweeting, “Unlike you Mr Rahul Gandhi, I have not learnt well the art of living without working. I am also a kaamdaar, and not a naamdaar.”

“I am a law topper, CA 2nd rank all over India, professional Chartered Accountant & investment banker and therefore competent to give consultancy. BTW Mr @PChidambaram_IN who are the consultants in your son @KartiPC's consultancy?”

“Till 26th May 2014, before I became a Minister, I was a professional Chartered Accountant & investment banker. Unlike you, Mr @RahulGandhi, I have not learnt well the art of living without working. I am also a kaamdaar (worker) and not a naamdaar (dynast)”, Goyal tweeted.

Today PM Modi had torn into the Congress president on several issues in BJP  Election campaign in Karnataka, however PM  did not once straight away mention Rahul by name. “The Congress president is a naamdaar, so how does he know about the efforts of kaamdaars,” PM Modi lauded bringing up the reference a number of times in his address.
