During his address in the Parliament meeting, Rahul Gandhi pointed towards the various names by which the BJP refers to him. He made a big statement and said, “Main Pappu Hoon.” He, referring to the opposition said that the opposition might have had negative feelings for him and might have hated him but he never felt about them in a negative manner. He added that his values always held him back from having any sort of negativity for anybody. He said, “Aap logon ke andar mere liye nafrat hai, aap mujhe Pappu aur bohot gaaliyan dekar bula sakte hain, lekin mere andar aapke liye nafrat nahi hai.”

Post the dialogue, Rahul walked up to the Prime Minister and touched his feet. Responding to his greeting, Narendra Modi hugged him and pat his back as a gesture of appreciation.

In his address, Rahul Gandhi talked about the minorities and women safety. He said, “For the 1st time in the history of India, women are not being protected. Wherever you see, Dalit, Adivasis, minorities are being thrashed, killed, but Prime Minister can't speak a word. Are these minorities, Adivasis, women not a part of India.”

Just after the speech, post hugging Modi, Rahul winked at a companion present in the Parliament house. This gesture of Rahul hints that may be hugging the Prime Minister was a part of his strategy.
