Rahul Gandhi holds 'janta darbar' in his constituency Amethi

Amethi: Congress President and local MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday addressed in a 'janta darbar' and listened to the problems of the people of his constituency.

Rahul is on a two-day visit here started his second day by interacting people from different walks of life on the premises of the Congress office in Gauriganj which is the district headquarter.

Meanwhile Former Union minister and MP Sanjay Sinh and his wife Ameeta Singh met the Congress chief and talked with him issues related to the party and the people.

"A discussion on how to make the Congress stronger in Uttar Pradesh was held with Rahulji," Sanjay Sinh stated.

A number of students, party activists, and people from the trade and business fraternity also met Gandhi scion.

Sangita Anand who is the daughter of former Uttar Pradesh minister and senior BJP leader Ram Lakhan Passi, and her husband also visited Congress scion.

Rahul will also pay a visit to party leader Baijnath Tiwari, whose wife died recently, to offer his condolences later in the day,.

Amethi MP is also expected to meet former block pramukh of Amethi - Ram Murti Shukla.

Gandhi will pay his respects to CRPF personnel A Maurya at Naraini village in the Amethi assembly segment.

Notably, Maurya was martyred during a Naxal attack in Chattisgarh's Sukma district in April.

Rahul will also address in a public meeting of farmers on the premises of Mukutnath Inter College in Tala village on the Amethi-Gauriganj highway.
