Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman Sachin Tendulkar, who members of Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), now cannot continue their jobs due to the clash of Interest issue.
They are likely to be dropped from their roles according to the reports of The Indian Express suggested.

Worth mention here Ganguly is the President of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). He is also a cricket expert, having his media commitments on several channels. On the other hand, Laxman has also his media commitments as well as he is also the mentor of the Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad.

As per the BCCI rules, a coach or selector cannot take over the job if his family member is in contention to make it to the team so that Tendulkar cannot keep on in the panel as his son is a member of India U-19 team.

In 2015, Narendra Hirwani had quit as the Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh’s selection panel as his son is a first-class cricketer for the state.

The report in The Indian Express further said that the job of CAC will be a paid one now but at the moment, Tendulkar, Ganguly and Laxman perform their role on an honorary basis. Last year, when reports surfaced that the committee had asked for remuneration to the trio then the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) denied the reports and gave clarification that the trio had not asked for any money.
