Mumbai (Maharashtra): The Shiv Sena on Wednesday slit into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over its claims on 'leading' the gram panchayat polls, likenng 'victory' (Vijay in hindi) to a person and saying that 'Vijay' had gone crazy.
"Vijay pagal ho gaya hai aur logo ne vijay ki pitai ki hai. (Victory has gone crazy and people have knocked the victory)," said an editorial in the Shiv Sena representative, 'Saamna'.
"The outcomes in the gram panchayat elections show a mixed tendency, but it seems that the condition that farmers are in and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis hurried decisions with reference to loan waivers, might not take the BJP a long way," the Shiv Sena said.
The Shiv Sena added that they look as if to be successful in Sambhaji Nagar and that BJP is covering behind in party leader Raosaheb Dave's district.
"The BJP seems to be lagging behind in the Akola district as well, while the Shiv Sena is winning in the Jalgaon district," the Shiv Sena's representative asserted.
The Shiv Sena said that the farmers haven't stopped committing suicide as prices are rising day by day.
"Farmers' loans haven't been let off and even today farmers' suicide hasn’t stopped. The prices are hit at the highest point, while education is getting destroyed," the Shiv Sena said.
