Today the entire nation celebrates the auspicious festival of Rakshabandhan. It is a festival that celebrates the love of siblings. Rakshabandhan is one of the most widely celebrated festivals across the country. The festival involves a ritual in which the sister ties Rakhi to the wrist of her brother and prays for his long life and good health. The brother inturn promises his sister to protect her against every wrong, throughout his life.

The Diva of Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor also celebrated rakhi with great pleasure. Sonam shares a very close bond with her brother Harshavardhan Kapoor and her sister Rhea Kapoor. This will be Sonam’s first Rakshabandhan after her marriage to Anand Ahuja. Talking about the distance between her and her siblings after the marriage, Sonam said that distance makes the heart grow fonder. She informed that her family is constantly travelling, but despite their schedules, they are very close-knit and connected; more so on special occasions." Sonam’s brother Harshvardhan asserted that it’s a new experience for sure but he said that he is sure she will make time this year like she does every year.
Discussing her bond with her siblings, Sonam said that Harsh is the youngest of the three and by default, the most pampered child of the family. She said that Rhea and she herself dote on him. Sonam also added that they have been brought up more like friends. They love holidaying, partying together and said that it’s always a lot of fun.
