Sunanda Pushkar Death Case  Delhi Court granted Regular Bail to Shashi Tharoor

New Delhi: Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Shashi Tharoor has been granted regular bail by a Delhi court in the case linking to his wife Sunanda Pushkar's death almost four years ago. This development appeared two days after a court had granted him anticipatory bail.

On the night of January 17, 2014Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in a suite of a luxury hotel in the city. Shashi Tharoor  with his wife was staying in the hotel, as the official bungalow of lawmaker Shashi Tharoor was being renovated at that time.

Worth mention here the court had summoned him as an accused in the case on June 5, asking him to appear before it on July 7, claiming that there was sufficient ground to proceed against Tharoor .

It is noted that Tharoor has been charged under sections 498A (husband or his relative subjecting a woman to cruelty) and 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), but has not been booked in the case.

The lawmaker has deprived of all charges.
