We say superstition has surrounded our society and is playing with lives. When we make that sort of a statement, the question arises, "What exactly is Superstition all about?" How do we categorize and classify our beliefs as Superstitious or non-superstitious?

To decide that we need to understand that Superstition is believing things without experiencing them, without having faced the truth behind them, just for the sake that someone reliable declared it true. To brief it, Superstition could be a blind faith in anything, about which you have no idea.

Superstition is not just about religion, it could even prevail regarding science. Long back, people believed that the earth was stationary and the Sun revolved around it. Well, that was a scientific superstition because they came across the statement that informed them about the same and believed it without any idea of the fact.

If you believe in God, you must also believe in his goodness. He is your creator, your father, your protector, your savior. Why would he ever wish pain and misery for his own creation? It is your deeds that translate into what you face later. Karma would be the best theory to explain it.
