Gender pay gap is a major concern in every field. Even Bollywood actresses have also spoken up on the matter. Taapsee Pannu who covered her way all through the Tollywood to Bollywood has also something to express on the point. Instead of blaming anyone she put her point her very beautifully that shows that she has full belief in her talent.

Where male actor works on profit sharing the Soorma actress have also chosen the path for a Telugu film and while justifying the point she said: “I did my last Telugu film on a profit-sharing basis. I shared the profit with my producer as the film had no hero, and the concept was brilliant. I can understand the plight of a producer when there is no hero,” further she added that “I told him that I would not charge a fee, but take a share of the profit.”

For using the way in Bollywood cinema she expressed: “I have worked in the South Indian film industry for eight years, and I have to build a certain rapport with the people there; so I can take that risk. I have done so many films there, that people in B and C centers also know me,” and added: “When it comes to Hindi cinema, I am new. I might opt for profit-sharing in the future. The day B and C center audiences know me well here, I can take the risk. The day I’m sure people will come to watch my films, I will do that deal,”

Notably, the actress has gathered enough appraises for her well content movie ‘Pink’ which was awarded with the National Award for being the best film on other social issues.
