As per the latest report by media, “Just over two years since formation of the state, the Telangana government is planning a major administrative revamp. The state government has passed a preliminary notification for creation of 17 new districts in the region”

People close to the development say that, “state Cabinet has cleared major but selective reorganisation of districts. According to the draft notification the number of districts is proposed to be increased to 27 from 10”

Whereas;Hyderabad will stay untouched, the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad and Khammam will be split into two districts each. The draft proposes a four-way split of Warangal and three-way split of Mahboobnagar and Karimnagar districts.
