Blood Moon has grabbed quite a lot of headline in the recent while. Blood Moon is basically a Lunar Eclipse that would occur on the 27th and the 28th of July. It has been regarded as the longest Lunar Eclipse of the century that would last for about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

A lot of people have been wondering about the concept of Blood Moon.

Here’s a brief explanation to help you understand the entire concept:

1. Lunar Eclipse is a phenomenon in which the Earth comes in the path the moon and the sun and therefore blocks the path of light reaching from the sun to the moon.

2. Since the path of the light is blocked, it suffers refraction.

3. Refraction is a phenomenon in which light particles bent from their original path when they face an obstacle of a suitable size.

4. Red light suffers least refraction hence the light that shall reach the moon would make it appear red.

The Lunar Eclipse would occur on the night of 27th July.

It would be observed clearly In some of the major cities of India like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and many others. The first phase would commence at 1:00 am, while the second phase would commence at 2:43 am and would observe a partial eclipse.
