The user is getting 1.1 TB free data every month in Jio Fiber: report

Reliance Jio is now bringing Broadband to the Jio Fiber. Soon the services of Jio-Fiber are going to start. In the Jio Fiber testing phase from September 2016. By the end of May, it is expected to start in select cities. Jio Fiber to the Home (FTTH) is giving free data as a preview plan to the user. Now a report claims that this data is up to 1.1 TB, which is being offered free to the user. Testing of Jio Fiber is going on in major cities like Ahmedabad, Chennai, Jamnagar, Mumbai and Delhi.

Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, also mentioned about the service in July. According to the report, a member of the Jio Fiber service told that the new initial plan of Jio Fiber will give 100 GB free data, which will speed up to 100Mbps. It will be provided every month.

Once FUP, the user will get 40 GB free data as top-ups. It will be effective for up to 25 times in a month. That is, 1,100 GB and about 1.1 TB free data will be given to the user. However, it is not clear now that this 1.1 TB data will be given at the same speed. Jio will start its fiber service in 30 cities.

Earlier, information about the preview plan was revealed, in which customers were told to give 100 GB free data for the first three months. This data was fixed at a speed of 100Mbps. The speed above 100 GB was 1Mbps. The Jio Fiber connection will initially be charged on interest-free security deposits of Rs 4,500. It will be a refundable amount.

A Jio official said, the company will install a router in the user, which will also serve the TV set-top box. It is being said that Jio has so far created an optic fiber network of 3 lakh kilometers across the country. We demanded more information from the company about Jio Fiber. We will update here if we receive the answer.

According to quarterly results, Jio users have reached 18 crores in the first quarter of 2018. Last year, the same figure was close to 16 crores. The company said that in the first quarter of the new year more than 25 million new users have adopted Jio and have adopted it.
