"We worship Lord Ram, so there's no question of a change in the name of Ramlila Maidan" : BJP

New Delhi: Changing the name of the historic Ramlila Maidan in the name of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been talk of the town, and according to the recent news Delhi BJP rebuffed to change the name of iconic ground.

“We worship Lord Ram, so there's no question of a change in the name of Ramlila Maidan. If someone says something like that should be done, not necessary that you need to follow it”, Manoj Tiwari, Delhi BJP chief on NDMC's proposal to rename Ramlila Maidan after Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Initially, Mayor of Northern Delhi Municipal Corporation, Gupta proposed that Atalji addressed many public meetings at Ramlila Maidan so in his memory, Ramlila Maidan to be named after the former PM of India and BJP stalwart. The proposal was presented on Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party Superemo and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had tweeted that Changing the name of Ramlila Maidan and etc  is just the trick to influence the voters and BJP won’t get votes in the name of Atal ji.

He lashed out BJP and said that the saffron party should change the name of its Prime Minister. Then maybe you get some votes. Because now people will not vote on the name of PM Modi.
