Dr. Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha Rajasekhar have on Monday formally joined YSRCP.  None other than Jaganmohan Reddy himself inducted them into the party by welcoming the couple in Hyderabad.  In the recent past, many Tollywood celebrities have joined YS Jagan’s party but Rajasekhar and Jeevitha joining is a big surprise as they took potshots at YS Jagan very recently.

Ever since 2017 hit 'PSV Garuda Vega', the couple have been in the news for different reasons. The couples had worked for Congress party and Telugu Desam party. The couples are known for switching parties frequently. After joining the YSRC party, both Jeevitha and Rasekhar said they had solved the problems they had with YS Jagan. Rajasekhar later told reporters that they met Jagan after a long time. They called on YSRCP president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond residence and formally joined the party. He said that all the bitterness between them was over, now and also admitted that he had behaved immaturely.

Politics is not new to them.  They joined TDP way back in 2000.  During YS Rajasekhara Reddy's rule, the Rajasekhar-Jeevitha duo supported the Congress and joined it in 2009. On the other hand, comedienne Hema, anchor Shyamala and her husband Narasimha Reddy have also joined the party.
