Yashwant Sinha: Taking 'sanyas' from party politics, ending all ties with the BJP

Dissident BJP leader Yashwant Sinha held an event with opposition parties in Patna today. During the event he announced to quit BJP, as Times of India reported.

Sinha had formed 'Rashtra Manch' on January 30, saying that it will be an apolitical forum and highlight "anti-people" policies of the Centre.

“Today I am taking 'sanyas' from any kind of party politics, today I am ending all ties with the BJP”,Former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha  said in Patna as ANI tweeted.

Leaders from the Congress, Trinamool Congress MP Dinesh Trivedi, RJD's Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, RLD leader Jayant Choudhary, Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjay Singh and disgruntled JD(U) leader Uday Narayan Choudhary attended the programme, informed Samajwadi Party spokesman Ghanshyam Tiwari to reporters in Patna.

"It will be a political announcement," said the former Union minister Sinha.

However, the former finance minister has turned down to share details of the impending exercise, saying he will reveal it on Saturday.

During the announcement at the opposition rally at Patna, The former BJP leader said democracy is under threat and criticized the Modi-led NDA government.

Of late, Union minister Sinha had been over and over again firing salvos at the Centre.
