A 32-year-old development manager working in a multinational company in Lucknow was allegedly robbed at gunpoint by four men on Sunday night near a private hospital in Civil Lines. The 32-year-old was allegedly robbed by three men. The victim was visiting Gurugram to meet a friend.

The victim was allegedly walking to his friend's house when he was attacked. The accused were sitting in a car. The victim, Ashar, said that he was following Google Maps on his phone for directions, when a car stopped and a man seated in the car asked for a particular address. When the victim told them that he did not know the address, one of the accused pulled out a gun and asked him for money.
In a police report filed by Ashar, he said, “When he told them he does not know the address, the accused man pulled out a gun and asked him to give all the money he had. He tried to escape but another man blocked his way. He finally gave them ₹6,000 cash that he was carrying that time.”
The accused were booked under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for robbery and Section 397 of the IPC for robbery or dacoity with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt. The complaint was filed at the Civil Lines police station. “The suspects are yet to be identified. A preliminary probe has revealed that their car had a Delhi registration number,” said the official.
