Patna: Amidst the corona crisis, many shocking cases are being reported that are shocking to everyone. Due to this, a cricket ball-shaped black fungus was removed from the patient's head.

Dr Manish Mandal, Medical Superintendent, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences said that 60-year-old Anil Kumar, a resident of Jamui, recently recovered from corona infection but was complaining of continuous dizziness after that. Thereafter, Anil Kumar was referred to Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, where a black fungus was found in his head. Doctor Manish Mandal said the black fungus had reached his brain through Anil Kumar's nose. However, fortunately, it could not reach Anil Kumar's eyes.

Doctors led by Dr Brijesh Kumar successfully operated on Anil Kumar on Friday and removed the cricket-shaped black fungus from his head. According to reports, Anil Kumar's condition is now stable. Dr Manish Mandal, Medical Superintendent, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences said, 'thus the disease of black fungus was not yet seen in the brain. This is the first time that such a patient institution has come. Anil Kumar's eyes have survived the operation. Because fungus did not cause much damage to the eyes'.
