Dehradun: In a recent bizarre incident, the death of a 12-year-old child has led to shocking revelations about a school in Dehradun. The Chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) alleged that another student of the same school was raped in 2012.The official alleged that though the incident about was brought to the notice of the school, it was ignored by the authorities. The allegations were made by Usha Negi, Chairperson of SCPCR.

Here to be noted that according to the Source report, Negi shared the documents she had from 2006. The documents were given by the Bar Association Doiwala. According to the documents, a student was raped and impregnated by two staff members of a school. The school is situated in the Vikas Nagar area. It was also alleged that the prime accused in the rape of the student is a relative of the school's principal. The prime accused in the 2006 case is also being accused of playing a role in the death of the 12-year-old. According to the document, the rape case victim underwent an abortion. Following the rape case, the document also alleged that in 2017, a boy from the same school had gone missing on a school trip. The students were being taken to Narendra Nagar which is situated in Tehri Garhwal when the incident took place. The student has not been rescued yet.

However, On March 26, the police had arrested three members of the school staff to look into the case. The three accused were identified as Praveen Messi, Ashok Solomon and Ajay Kumar. Kumar was a hostel warden, Solomon was a physical education teacher and Messi was the manager of the school. In November 2016, the document was submitted to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The document alleged that the list of the school managing committee does not have the name of Stephen Sarkar as the school manager. The name of the other three accused was also not found in the list. According to the Hindustan Times' report, the document which was in the form of an affidavit was signed by Stephen Sarkar.

Negi posed questions on the credibility of the school and asked them if they were trying to guard an official involved in the case. Negi alleged that while the school has enrolled a lot of students as orphans, the parents of these students live in leprosy shelters. The school claims to provide free education to the students but Negi alleged that they charge money for the same.
