Nagarkurnool: A five-year-old girl was killed in a road accident near Veltoor village of Uppuntala mandal in Nagarkurnool district on Wednesday. As per Uppuntala police, a speeding bike lost control and the baby girl, who was riding on the bike with other two, fell into a trench and succumbed to the serious injuries she suffered in the occurrence.

The accident occurred near Veltoor village of Uppuntala mandal on Wednesday. According to police, it was still not known how the accident occurred. However, they are suspecting that two-wheeler lost control while speeding. The girl was sitting in the front fell and was unfortunately injured, while the other two on the bike got minor injuries. "While we have shifted the dead body of the baby girl to the mortuary for post-mortem at Uppuntala government hospital, the two injured undergoing treatment at the hospital," said the police.
