Paris: A French devotee has filed a fraud case against Nityanand, an accused of escaping from India. The French government is watching this case. In the complaint, Nityananda has been accused of cheating more than 4 lakh US dollars. The self-styled Baba Nityananda of South India is still out of the grip of the Gujarat Police.

Gujarat police say that Nityananda has left India and fled. The Gujarat Police meanwhile has approached the CID to issue a blue corner notice against Nityananda. However, the Gujarat Police is trying to seek a 'Blue Corner Notice' from Interpol to trace the controversial religious leader Nityananda. An official of the Gujarat Police has given information in this regard on Thursday. Giving information, the officer investigating the cases against Nityananda said that the Ahmedabad Rural Police has written a letter to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday.

The police officer said, "CID is the nodal agency to contact Interpol for issuing the Blue Corner notice. We have written a letter to the CID for issuing the notice to find Nityananda." The Blue Corner Notice makes it possible for member states to share information related to criminals.
