AHMEDABAD: A gang selling fake injections in the name of expensive injections like tocilizumab, used for corona patients, has been busted on Saturday. Its wires are connected from Ahmedabad to Surat. The Food and Drugs Control Authority has arrested five people. The fake injection of the injection which is manufactured only by Switzerland company, was made by Sohail Ismail Taree in Surat at his home.

While giving the information, the Commissioner of the Department, Dr. HG Tried said that Tosilizumeb 400mg injection was administered by Dr. Dewang Shah to Admit Corona Patient Talaben at Sanjeevani Hospital located in Bhuyangdev, Ahmedabad. Patient relative brought in three boxes of injections from Genic Pharma. When the doctor suspected him, he complained to the department. When the patient's relative was questioned, it was found that the injection was purchased from the mother pharmacy in Sabarmati for 1.35 lakhs.

The pharmacy owner said that he bought 4 boxes for 80 thousand from Harsha Bharatbhai Thakor, a resident of Chandkheda. Harsh Thakor bought 4 boxes of this injection from Nilesh Laliwala, owner of Happy Chemist & Protein House, Paladi, for Rs 70 thousand. Harsh Thakor also edited the design of the box in Photoshop and wrote a Tosilizumeb on it. During interrogation, Nilesh admitted that he had given the Suncity Flat No. located near Bhanki Stadium in Rander, Surat. Purchased from Sohail Ismail Tai of 102.
