Farmer leader probes death of girl who was molested at Tikri border

New Delhi: Alleged farmers are protesting against the central government's three agricultural laws on the borders of Delhi amid the corona outbreak across the country. Meanwhile, Haryana police sources said that a girl who lost her life due to corona infection was recently molested at the farmers' protest site at the Tikri border. The girl had also lodged a complaint in the case.

According to reports, the girl was admitted to the Civil Hospital in Bahadurgarh after symptoms of coronavirus were detected during the demonstration on April 26, 2021. In an interview, farmer leader Mandeep Nathwani clarified that he is aware of the incident and farmer leaders are investigating it. Nathwani said that as per the information received from her, the girl with whom the incident took place has died due to corona.

In the interview, Nathwani said, "We are constantly in touch with the top leaders of the United Front and are trying to find out what really happened to the girl. He said it is not clear whether the girl was raped or not.''
