New Delhi: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) National President and former Union Minister Chaudhary Ajit Singh today lost the battle for life due to the corona epidemic. He died at a hospital in Gurugram. Several leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, Rajnath Singh have paid tributes to Ajit Singh on his demise.

PM Modi tweeted, "Deeply saddened by the passing away of former Union Minister Chaudhary Ajit Singh Ji, he has always been dedicated to the interest of farmers, he discharged the responsibilities of many departments at the Centre efficiently, my thoughts are with his family and fans in this hour of mourning. Om Shanti!'' Said Akhilesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party chief and former CM, ''The messiah of farmers and labourers, former Union minister, RLD chief Chaudhary Ajit Singh Ji's sudden demise, irreparable loss, May God give peace to the departed soul and strengthen the bereaved family in this hour of grief. Tearful tribute.''

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has also tweeted his tributes, Rajnath said, "The news of Chaudhary Ajit Singh's demise is very painful, in the long public life he has always been associated with the people and the land, as well as struggling for the interests of farmers, labourers and other weaker sections, my condolences to his bereaved family and supporters. 'Om Shanti!''
