Take a bow Nadal for the historic Win!!! Take a bow Djokovic for the hard battle!!!

It’s a historic, historic night for everyone at Roland Garrons. And for Nadal to beat the world’s No: 1 at 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 is astounding.  Rafael Nadal victory has given a record-extending 13th French Open title as he lifted his 20th Grand Slam trophy and equaled Roger Federer’s record for most Major titles. The 2 hours and 41 minutes battle at Court Philippe-Chartier in Paris has given a win-loss record of 100-2 at Roland Garrons.

Rafael Nadal was always in command and never allowed Djokovic to stamp his authority. Novak managed to broke Nadal in the third set but the Spaniard regained his command. The hard battle assures Nadal a ‘Deserving Winner’. None in the tennis world has won a Grand Slam more than Nadal has won in Paris. This is Nadal’s 86th singles match on the ATP tour, occupying 4th place lead by Jimmy Connors with 109 at 1st, Federer with 103 at 2nd, and Ivan Lendl with 94 at 3rd.

It is remarkable that French open 2020 title winners Iga and Nadal did not drop a single set on the court. Nadal added another feather to his cap by becoming the first man to win four Grand Slams without dropping a set. Roger Federer in response to Nadal’s victory has sent a message to him on Twitter. He said 20 is another step on the continuing Journey.
