Kannauj: The double murder case has come to light in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. On Thursday night, a young man killed his mother-in-law and wife. After the murder, the accused man reached the police station and surrendered to the police. The incident is of Houdapurva village under Sadar Kotwali area. Fed up with domestic strife, Pawan murdered his mother-in-law and wife with a sharp weapon, then threw the bodies of both of them down from the 25 feet high ceiling.

Pawan has confessed his crime by reaching the police station. Kannauj Superintendent of Police Amarendra Prasad said that Pawan alias Murari was married to Savita, a resident of Shahpur Mala village in Shivrajpur police station area, Kanpur a few months ago. Few days after the marriage, there started a quarrel between husband and wife. Two days ago, Kalavati, Pawan's mother-in-law, came to her house. During these two days, Pawan had several quarrels with his mother-in-law and wife.

According to the police, fed up with the daily disputes, Pawan killed his wife and mother-in-law with sharp weapon late at night. After killing, Pawan threw both the dead bodies down from the cliff. After this, after reaching the police station, he handed himself over to the police. On the information of Pawan, the police reached the place and captured the two bodies and sent them for postmortem.
