A woman contacted the Nacharam police seeking help in retrieving the newborn male child. Four months ago, the GHMC employee was sold to the EMPLOYEE for Rs 1 lakh by the mediator immediately after delivery at the ESI Hospital in Nacharam.

Meena and her husband Venkatesh, a driver, came from Patancheru three years ago and lived in Ambedkarnagar. She took help from her neighbor Jana, who worked with the Sweeper and GHMC during her delivery.

A few minutes after delivery, on June 19, Janaki took the child and handed it over to a GHMC outsourcing employee and his wife, a childless couple. Meena "We are asking them to return our child, but she threatened to kill us if we were determined to get the child back".

Meena Nacharam complained to the police as her neighbours failed to inform about the child's whereabouts. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case of fraud against Janaki and others along with other relevant provisions of the IPC under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and arrested the child from foster parents with the help of the District Child Protection Unit. .
