In a tragic incident, a rape of an 11 year girl has come to light in Vijay Nagar area of Delhi. Police said that on Saturday, the minor girl was raped by her father's friend, who is aged 42 years, at his house. Police has registered a case against the man. Police informed that a woman from the neighbourhood saw the man sexually assaulting the minor and started making noise after which the accused escaped from the scene of the incident. He was caught from the outskirts of Delhi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Pramod Kumar Mishra said, “We have registered a rape case under the Indian Penal Code and related sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POSCO) Act. He is a friend of the girl's father. "Police said that the girl lives with her parents and younger brother at her house in Vijay Vihar. Her father is a mason, while the mother lives at a house. She had gone to her village from

Police said that on Saturday morning the child's father left his two children at home and went to work. Around 1 pm, the girl's father's friend arrived at the house and started forcing the minor to see her brother sleeping. "The girl has been medically examined and counselled." the DCP said.
