Nalanda: A husband and wife were shot dead by the youths living in the neighbourhood when they opposed molestation in Sherpur, under the police station Nursarai area of Nalanda district of Bihar. After the incident, the accused youth escaped from the scene. The injured husband and wife have been admitted to the hospital for treatment, where the woman's condition remains critical.
Dhananjay Kumar, a resident of Sherpur village, drives an auto. It was told that late last night he came back home after driving an auto. Then he saw that Karu Kumar and Manish, who are from the neighbourhood, are molesting his wife Babita. Seeing this, he got angry. When he protested, the accused youths opened fire. Both the husband and wife were seriously injured in this firing. Both have been admitted to the hospital for treatment, where Babita's condition is said to be critical.
On receiving information about the incident, the Nursarai police station reached the spot. The police have started investigating the case after inspecting the spot. After the incident, the accused youths are being absconding. Station head Nursarai says that no complaint has been received in this matter yet. Advance action will be taken after receiving the complaint.
