Amritsar: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has spoken to Pakistani PM Imran Khan in connection in an alleged case of forceful conversion of a Sikh girl to Islam in Pakistan. Captain Amarinder Singh has asked Imran Khan to take stern action against the culprits in the incident.
Punjab CM Captain Amarinder has appealed to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to take up the matter with the Pakistani Foreign Minister strictly. On the other hand, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that such incidents are taking place continuously with the minority in Pakistan. He said Pakistan looked at his house before pointing a finger at the other people.
In Pakistan, the case of forced conversion of A Sikh girl into Muslim has come to light. It is reported that some youths kidnapped a Sikh girl at gunpoint and forcefully converted her to Islam and made a video of it. A daughter of a gurudwara Tambi Sahib in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan, was missing for three days after she was detained on Thursday after marrying a Muslim man and adopting Islam.
