Online trolling… a worst nightmare for many public figures. A never-ending problem. In today’s world where social media has gathered the world closer and made our lives easier, it has shown its worst side or let’s say its cons as well. While social media provides you an open platform to express your opinions freely, it let’s you easily use your freedom of expression; simultaneously it gives the same freedom to others as well. These others can be anyone; your friends, family, allies, rivals, fans, followers or absolute strangers. But not everyone uses it in a right way. There is a high number of online trollers. The problem is highly increasing number of these online trollers. Actor, producer and Digital Marketing expert Shrinivas Kulkarni has expressed his opinion about this serious issue of increasing online trolling and use of foul language.
Few days back there has been a serious issue between 2 big names which had affected many people’s emotions and people have started reacting about it on social media. But as its repercussions many online trolls started to use foul language and started trolling mercilessly to anyone who has been reacting about it. First it used to happen with celebrities only but now even professors, teachers or any common people are also facing it. Few days back actress Sonakshi Sinha left Twitter. In Marathi recently actor Subodh Bhave and Siddharth Chandekar also left the Twitter saying negativity on Twitter is increasing. These celebrities also had to face a lot of trolling, swearing and unbearable foul language. Not only for this issue but unfortunately recently it has been very common for any post or any opinion celebrities put on social media. They have to face trolling.
About this whole issue Actor, Producer and Digital Marketing expert Shrinivas Kulkarni recently posted his views on his social media account. Shrinivas says, “It’s very important to stop this online trolling now as it’s affecting many people very badly. First there were only celebrities who had to face this problem but now it feels like nobody’s safe on social media. A strict action is required against it. Facebook gives us an option called Report but Facebook often can’t find any problem in the concerned troll/comment, hence it can’t take any action. So now, Cyber Cell should look into it and act accordingly to stop this online trolling and foul language. There needs to be a strict law against it. Many celebrities are afraid of expressing their views these days because there is a constant fear that trollers will start trolling and spread unnecessary hatred and negativity. It’s easy to target and troll people from behind a screen, behind a username but it highly affects many people in many worst ways. But now they need to be tracked down and punished. It needs to be controlled now. A strict action has to be taken.”
