Kullu: A sudden fire broke out in a building at Chalatthar, a village in Karshaigarh panchayat in Kullu district, on Saturday night, causing a complete burning of goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the shop.
Panchayat pradhan Sharda Devi confirmed the incident and said that the watchman sleeping in the building was rescued by the villagers as soon as possible. He has said that the house was built in the wooden style.
According to the information received so far, the pradhan of the panchayat has said that the house suddenly caught fire on Saturday night. When the people of the locality saw the flames rising, they also started making noise and tried to douse the fire. Meanwhile, people from nearby villages have also arrived. The watchman sleeping in the house was rescued by the villagers, but 15 rooms of the two-and-a-half-storey house were completely burnt to ashes. The police are investigating the case.
