Gurugram: On Wednesday, In an official statement police state that less than 24 hours after she was abducted, police rescued a 14-year-old girl was rescued by Gurugram police from a room in Daulatabad village where she was being held captive. police officials familiar with the matter said that the girl was being held captive in the room by one of her acquaintances. The minor girl stepped out of her home on February 18 to buy milk. However, her parents approached the Sadar police station when she did not return even after several hours. A missing person complaint was later registered in this regard leading to the girl's rescue on Tuesday.
However station house officer (SHO), Dalbir Singh said that the girl was abducted on Monday by three men she was familiar with. They used a four-wheeler to transport her to the room in Daulatabad village where she was held captive, he added. The police raid which concluded with the girl's rescue was triggered after her parents raised suspicions over one of her acquaintances, a 21-year-old boy, who was arrested while trying to escape during the raid.

In her statement which was recorded before a magistrate under section 164 of the CRPC on Wednesday, the girl said that she was abducted and taken to Daulatabad village where she was held captive and raped by three men. A case has been registered against the accused under sections 363/365, 366 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
