The upcoming Telangana by-election, many candidates have come into the fray. In the next election, nearly half a dozen journalists have been increasing the expectations of contesting in the MLC constituency of Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda graduates, but it is almost confirmed that at least two of them will be in the competition.

It is noteworthy that a TV journalist and working president of the young Telangana party gogula Ranirudrama Reddy from Narsampettown took part in a meeting with graduate voters here on Wednesday and launched his election campaign. Another journalist B Jayasarti Reddy also threw a cap as a CPI candidate. Mahabubabad native and Jayasarathi Reddy's family members traveled with the CPI for four decades, and he also worked for the party as a party wing leader for some time.

Other optimists, however, are PV Srinivasa Rao, the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Dontu Ramesh of Mahabubabad (for the Congress ticket) are trying to get a ticket. Meanwhile, another journalist Chintapandu Naveen Kumar alias 'Teenmar Mallanna' is also trying to contest from the same constituency. The ruling TRS has not yet announced the candidate and has asked party leaders, including ministers, to launch the campaign. Ministers M.S.Dayakar Rao and Satyavati Rathore recently held several meetings with party workers in Warangal.
