On Tuesday, the 19-year-old coconut seller lost a huge amount of money for cricket betting and was in financial turmoil and committed suicide at his home in Punjab.

According to the police, Sonu Kumar of Jharkhand has earned a livelihood by selling coconuts on the streets. He hanged himself from the Iron Grill in his house washroom. Relatives said he had a huge bet on IPL matches, lost and was disappointed. The Punjab police said that the case is being investigated.

This is not the first time cricket betting has taken one's life. Many cases have been reported on Oit, but people still take part in this kind of illegal betting. Now the police have registered a case and investigated it.
