The Election Commission of India (ECI) will launch a campaign from August 1 to link voter ID cards with Aadhaar. Yes and the objective of this campaign is to establish the identity of the voters and to authenticate the entries in the electoral roll as well as identify them. Let me tell you all that the Election Commission Jharkhand has tweeted about this.

In fact, the tweet reads: "If the same person is registered in more than one constituency or more than once in the same constituency. To link the Aadhaar card with the voter ID card, voters will have to fill in application form 6-B available online at the election commission's website and election registration offices. It can also be added online on the Voter Helpline App and the National Voter Service Portal.'' At the same time, there is a provision for a double lock system to protect the physical documents and computerized information of voters. Apart from this, it has also been said that masking will be used to keep the Aadhaar card number confidential. Indeed, according to the ECI, the linking of voter ID cards and Aadhaar establishes the identity of the voter and authenticates the entries in the electoral rolls, avoids duplication of voter names and informs voters about the latest information from the Election Commission through mobile phones.

This is the easiest way to link online- First of all, you should visit the website https://voterportal.eci.gov.in/. Login using your mobile number/email id/voter id number. After that, enter your desired password there. Enter a state, district and personal details such as name, date of birth and father's name. After filling in the full information, click on the 'Search' button. Here the details entered on your behalf match the government database, then the details will appear on the screen. After this, click on the 'Feed Aadhaar No' option which will appear on the left side of the screen. Now after the pop-up page is opened, you have to fill in your Aadhaar card, Aadhaar number, voter ID number, registered mobile number and/or registered email address. After entering all the details correctly, and then cross-check it once and press the 'Submit' button.
