NEW DELHI: Delhi Police investigators with Aaftab Amin Poonawalla reached the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Rohini today, November 24, where a polygraph test of Aaftab is likely to be conducted during the day as part of the ongoing probe against the murder of his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar, sources said.
He was also brought to the Ambedkar Hospital before getting to Forensic Science Laboratory for a checkup.
The source said that a polygraph test will be administered if the medical report deems him to be in good health.
On Tuesday night, Aftab was the subject of a scientific session at the FSL in Rohini as well as a pre-medical session to collect some background data that will be used to create diagnostic questions later.
A questionnaire has been prepared by Delhi Police. The source said, Aaftab lied during his interrogation and attempted to deceive the interrogators, therefore a polygraph and narcotics test are absolutely necessary.
The police feel that Aaftab killed Walkar with foolproof planning, not in a rage.
During a polygraph test, often known as a lie-detector test, physiological markers of a person, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, are monitored as they respond to a series of questions.
Aaftab was detained on November 12 in connection with the May 18 murder of Walkar.
