Aalok Kumar becomes new CEO of Air India Express

New Delhi: Aalok Singh took over as the corporate office of the Kochi-based airline company on November 9 after being appointed CEO of Air India Express. He has three decades of experience in air transport and travel. He has previously worked with airlines like Air India, Alliance Air and National Career.

Prior to joining Air India Express, he was associated with an aviation consultant and consulting firm in Delhi. After assuming his responsibility, Aalok Singh said, he has got the opportunity to be a part of a prestigious institute and a great team. He said that although it was a challenging moment for the industry and the airline, he was confident that the company had the potential to address the crisis among the people.

He also recalled the contribution of former CEO of the company Shyam Sundar. Former CEO Shyam Sundar also contributes significantly to laying a strong foundation for the future development of the airline. Singh has also been the co-founder of a travel venture. He has an MBA from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi and has been involved in a fellowship at the London School of Economics.
