New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been denied permission to conduct Ramleela at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from January 20 to 22. Consequently, the party has shifted the venue for the event to Pearey Lal Bhawan at ITO, according to party sources.

On Wednesday, the AAP had announced its plan to hold Ram Dhun ceremonies across Gujarat on January 21, a day ahead of the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

AAP's Gujarat chief, Isudan Gadhvi, stated that the party will organize Ram Dhun ceremonies in every part of the state, emphasizing the party's vision to bring about Ram Rajya through improvements in education and healthcare facilities.

This announcement followed AAP's decision to conduct Sundarkand Path recitation events in Delhi on the first Tuesday of every month. The first Sundarkand Path was organized last Tuesday across the national capital, with AAP Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal participating in the Sundarkand Path recital and havan ceremony in Delhi’s Rohini.

Preparations are underway for the mega Ram Mandir 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest of the event, marking the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The first visuals of the idol of Ram Lalla installed inside the sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha) of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya surfaced on Thursday. The seven-day religious rituals for the Ayodhya Ram Temple 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony began on January 16 and will continue until January 21.

According to the temple trust, over 7,000 people, including politicians, celebrities, industrialists, and saints, will attend the ceremony. The temple town of Ayodhya has undergone a major facelift in the run-up to the Ram Mandir event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, released commemorative postage stamps on Ayodhya's Ram Temple and a book with stamps dedicated to Lord Ram from around the world.
