New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has reacted sharply to the name of leaders in the charge sheet of Delhi riots. AAP MP Sanjay Singh, while reacting to the names of the leaders and the arrest of JNU alumnus Umar Khalid, said that "They have said in  Parliament as well that the BJP leaders should be arrested for Delhi riots.

It is noteworthy that in the Delhi riots, the Delhi Police has also included the names of CPM leader Sitaram Yechury, economist Jayati Ghosh, filmmaker Rahul Roy, Professor Apoorvanand in their additional charge sheet. After this, late on Sunday night, Delhi Police arrested the former student leader of JNU Umar Khalid under UAPA.

AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said on the matter that, "I have said from the road to the Parliament, the BJP leaders in Delhi carried out the riots, they should be arrested, because the police is from the BJP, then how will justice be delivered?" CPM leader Sitaram Yechury also targeted the BJP and the Delhi Police for their name in the charge sheet of the Delhi riots. Sitaram Yechury said that the central government has ordered the Delhi Police to surround the opposition, either way.
