New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Abdullah Azam Khan's bail plea has been averted in the apex court. In fact, the Solicitor General in the Supreme Court today could not appear on behalf of the UP government. In fact, the Solicitor General was busy lobbying the government in the farmers' agitation case. At the same time, there was no hurry in the matter, after the apex court deferred the hearing of the case till next week.

It may be noted that the Allahabad High Court had ordered the immediate release of jailed Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Azam Khan's wife Dr. Tanjin Fatima and his son Mohammed Abdullah Azam Khan for allegedly getting fake birth certificates. The Uttar Pradesh government has challenged the same high court verdict in the apex court. Abdullah Azam Khan is accused of making two birth certificates. The Allahabad High Court has quashed Abdullah Azam's legislature in the case and the case is being pursued against Abdullah Azam Khan and his parents.

Abdullah Azam was accused of giving fake certificates in the 2017 elections. Challenging Abdullah's election, Bsp leader Kamjim Ali had said Azam khan's son was not 25 years old at the time of the election in 2017. He had filed fake papers and filed a false affidavit to contest the elections.
