Kolkata: Trinamool Congress MP and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee has attacked Union Home Minister Amit Shah after being summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in the coal smuggling case. Abhishek has said that TMC will also win in Tripura. He challenged the Union Home Minister to stop the TMC.

ED has summoned Abhishek Banerjee on September 6 to join the probe, while his wife Ruzira has been summoned on September 3. The Enforcement Directorate will interrogate Abhishek Banerjee and his wife in the coal smuggling case. Apart from the two, CID ADG Gyanwant Singh and Abhishek's lawyer Sanjay Basu have also been summoned to join the probe.

Addressing an event after receiving summons from the investigating agency, Abhishek Banerjee said that in the 2021 elections, students and youth supported TMC without any fear. We have started working in Tripura and the roots of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have started shaking in Tripura. He said, "BJP will not be able to reach Mamata Banerjee, only students and youth will stop her. If anyone thinks that CBI and ED threaten us, our fight will only escalate."
