Abu Dhabi: Like the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, the construction of the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is going to be made. The specialty of this temple is that it is not using steel, iron materials. It is being constructed according to the traditional temple architecture of India. The temple is being constructed by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. The temple is likely to be ready by 2023.

A representative of the temple told the media that the work on the base of the temple has been completed. The work of planting pink sandstone will also be completed when artisans come from India. BAPS temple spokesperson Brahmavihari Swami said that a thick layer of sandstone has been laid on the temple land at Abu Murikhh. 3,000 artisans are working day and night in India to build temples, making marble-carved symbols and statues. At the same time, 30 professional artisans from 10 other countries have used several software to give 5,000 hours to make 3D model of the temple. Stone carving for the temple has been mostly done by the Sangatrashas of Rajasthan and Gujarat in India.

The hand-carved stones will reflect India's rich culture and history as well as Arab symbols. It will have paintings related to the context of Hindu Puranas including Ramayana, Mahabharata. The temple is being constructed according to ancient Hindu craftsmanship. According to the BAPS Temple, this is the first time in history that a traditional Hindu temple has been fully digitally designed and more than 300 sensors have been installed at various levels to provide live data on pressure, temperature and seismic events.
