Mr. Naidu had moved the High Court and obtained a stay. The apex court had in March last year ordered that stay orders in all criminal and civil which are pending for more than six months stand canceled. Recently, with the orders of the Supreme court, the long pending stay order on the cases have been lifted up. With this, the stay order on Chandrababu Naidu's case has also got canceled.

The ACB court summoned Lakshmi Parvathi and took her statement whether the court should re-start the trial on the petition on Friday. The ACB court has asked her whether she would continue the case or withdraw it. Counsel appearing for Ms. Parvati said his client wanted to continue the hearing.

Later while speaking to media persons,  Lakshmi Parvathi said that Naidu and his family had to amass illegal assets by misusing their positions.  “Naidu is a symbol of corruption and he should face court trial. I will fight till my last breath for ensuring a conviction against Naidu,” Lakshmi Parvathi said.
