A tragic incident took place in The Focal Point area. The labour was killed when he was hit by a current while unloading the goods from the container here. On receiving the information, the Police station Focal Point seized the body and conducted postmortem and after completing the operation, the family members have been handed over. ASI Rajinder Singh said the deceased was identified as Vicky Kumar, 19, a resident of Fauji Colony in Sherpur.

Police said, his father Nand Lal said that he is originally from Pathanpatti village in Motihari district of Bihar. Here he lives with his wife, two sons and two daughters. Vicky used to work as a labourer in Focal Point. He was unloading goods from the container on Saturday evening.

He was closing its gates after emptying the container. In the meantime, he could not see a wire of electricity that fell on the gate. The wire caused the current to hit the gate. He fell away unconscious after being hit by a severe blow. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead. Police have taken action under 174.
