New Delhi: The Supreme Court has expressed concern over people taking compensation by making fake medical certificates for deaths due to corona infection. During the hearing of the case on Monday, the central government has once again told the top court that people are taking compensation by making fake certificates of death from the corona.

After hearing the central government's submissions, the Supreme Court expressed displeasure and concern over this and hinted at an inquiry by the CAIG into the matter. During the hearing of the case, the court also asked the Centre to file an affidavit by March 15 regarding the fake claims. The case is scheduled to come up for hearing on March 21. The court said, "We are concerned that some people are misusing our order to give an ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 for death due to corona by making fake medical certificates.

During the hearing, Justice MR Shah said, "We never thought that such fake claims can also come. "We never thought that this scheme could be misused and if the officials are involved, it becomes even worse. At the same time, R Basant, who is appearing for the court in the case, suggested that the state government may also conduct a surprise inquiry into the compensation claims by the legal services authorities.

What's the whole matter?

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who appeared in the top court on behalf of the central government last week, had said that there is a problem in giving compensation to dependent families in the case of corona deaths, as many people are claiming for compensation by making fake certificates. Tushar Mehta had said that the doctors are giving fake certificates stating that the death due to corona was also due to death due to other reasons.
