Chhattisgarhi film producer, director, and actor Manoj Rajput has been arrested by the police on allegations of raping his close relative over the past 13 years by promising marriage. The victim has also accused him of establishing unnatural relationships. Acting on the statement of the 29-year-old victim, the police filed a case against the accused for rape, unnatural sexual relations, criminal intimidation, and other offenses under the Indian Penal Code along with protection of children from sexual offenses (POCSO) Act, and arrested him from his office in Durg district.

Station House Officer (SHO) Rajkumar Borja said, "On February 22, the victim girl lodged a complaint at the Old Bhilai Railway Police Station alleging that Manoj Rajput had been sexually assaulting her under the pretext of marriage since 2011. During this time, he also engaged in unnatural sex with her. When the girl insisted on marriage, he backed off from his promise. After this, she approached the police."

The SHO stated that based on the victim girl's complaint, a case has been registered against Manoj Rajput for rape, unnatural sexual relations, criminal intimidation, and other offenses under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. When the sexual assault began with the victim, she was a minor. However, the local court has dismissed the provisions of POCSO.

After the arrest in this case, when the police were taking actor Manoj Rajput away, he appeared before the media, giving flying kisses. He claimed that there's a conspiracy against him and he's being framed. He said, "A person named Rajesh Bihari is holding a grudge against me. Where was that girl who accused me for 11 years? All this is being done to trap me."

It should be noted that Manoj Rajput is a builder by profession but has also been involved in film production. He not only produces films but also acts in them. Over the past few years, he has rapidly expanded his business. This has increased his business rivalry as well. This is why a few months ago, he went to the police station to file a report, claiming that his life was in danger and demanded security.
