Renowned Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan is known for speaking her mind openly. In a recent episode of her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda's podcast 'What The Hell, Navya 2', Jaya expressed her views candidly. The episode featured Navya discussing the topic of 'Modern Men' with her mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda, grandmother Jaya Bachchan, and brother Agastya Nanda. The discussion revolved around men and their toxic behaviors.

When talking about how women want to feel independent and desire to pay for their own meals on dates, Jaya remarked that doing so is 'foolish'. On her podcast, Navya explained how empowered women post-feminism want to do everything themselves. Addressing Agastya, she said, "For example, if you take a girl out on a date nowadays and want to pay, many of them take offense at that because women now feel they are equal."

Before Navya could finish her point, Jaya interjected, saying, "Women who do such things are so foolish. You should let men pay for you." Continuing, Navya said, "No, I mean these things happen. Like, 'We can open doors for ourselves, you don't need to open doors for us.' So, what should the limit be? Do you hold doors open for people? Have you ever been in a situation where you've shown courtesy and a woman has said - I can do this myself?" Jaya reiterated her stance, saying, "Basically, saying don't show courtesy. How foolish is that?!"

The conversation highlights differing perspectives on gender dynamics and traditional courtesies in modern society.
